Featured: Remember the Daze (2007)
Amber Heard stars as Julia in Remember the Daze the indie directorial debut from Jess Manafort. The film is in select cinemas now.
Compared to most authors, onetime New York it-boy Bret Easton Ellisâs works have had a pretty good translation record at the cinema. American Psycho, The Rules of Attraction and Less Than Zero were all pretty faithful, quality adaptations that kept Ellisâs sensational penchant for drugs, kinky sex and sociopathic detachment intact. A tall order these days. Next in line is this fallâs The Informers. Not only did Ellis co-write the screenplay for his 1995 interlocked collection of twisted tales set in the â80s, but the film easily has the coolest cast of any Ellis flick: Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger, Winona Ryder, Billy Bob Thornton, Pineapple Expressâ Amber Heard and Brad Renfroâs last theatrical role.
Well, now it seems that the key element that made The Informers stand out from its darkly hedonistic pack, a good dose of the supernatural, including a vampire storyline starring Superman Returnsâ Brandon Routh as the bookâs main vampire, Jamie, has either been âexorcisedâ or dumped altogether. Odd. Actor John Graham, who has a rather large role as the son to Thorntonâs Hollywood exec, expressed dissonance about the filmâs seemingly last minute change to IGNâŚ
Amber is featured in the April issue of GQ magazine (Adriana Lima graces the cover). It’s a drop dead gorgeous new photoshoot and article as well! We have added the five stunning shoot outtakes and capped the behind the scenes video. The article has been added to the library too. Enjoy the gorgeous new goodies!
âLike many of Judd Apatowâs [female] characters, Iâm the hysterical bitchâthe neurotic girl whoâs supposed to counteract what all the cool boys do.â Paging Katherine Heigl! Does Heard have a problem, as Heigl did, with playing a âhumorless shrewâ? âShrew or no shrew, itâs funny. And as a woman, I have no problem laughing along.â
Things have been a little quiet in the Amber world now as she has finished promoting Never Back Down and is filming The Stepfather. I did, however, find a new photoshoot, which was taken for Hollywood Life back in 2007. Amber shoots are a little scarce so I’m super happy about this find! Enjoy the gorgeousness!
