Imagine our dismay when we learned earlier this year that Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane was bumped until next year. We felt like we got dumped. Shot down. Slapped with a, “I love you, but let’s just be friends.” All the while knowing that she’d come around again, it was just a matter of when.

I came across a great surprise today - Amber actually appeared in an episode of Showtime’s Californication that aired October 15th! It is episode 1.08, titled “California Son”. She portrays Amber, an actress and a friend of Hank’s (David Duchovny). Sounds familiar? ;) Her appearance is only a few seconds long but she looks amazing! Amber Heard and Chris Isaak have joined the ensemble cast of The Informers, an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel being directed by Gregor Jordan.
Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the script follows seven stories taking course during a week in the life of movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters.
Heard plays a sexually promiscuous woman caught up in the decadence of 1980s L.A., while Isaak will play a sex- and alcohol-obsessed father who takes his young son to Hawaii.
Heard and Isaak join a cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke.
