Great news! Miss Heard is featured in the August 2008 issue of Vanity Fair, inside the “Bright Young Hollywood” portfolio. Amanda Seyfried, Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart and Emma Roberts grace the cover. Amber poses together with Rachael Taylor and Jonah Hill. I love the photo of them and the interview is really fun as well.
Since V.F. first focused on Hollywood’s teen titans, in 2003, the YouTube-Gawker machine has upped the ante. For every Shia LaBeouf success, there’s a Lindsay Lohan flameout. For our August issue, Mark Seliger photographs today’s crop of hot young things, while Krista Smith collects the Tiger Beat data sheets (biggest crush? BlackBerry or iPhone?).

We have been considering installing a discussion forum for the site, a spot where the fans could discuss Amber Heard and her many upcoming projects. But because setting up and maintaining a forum is a lot of extra work, I’d like to ask you a question.
If we install a forum, would you join up and keep it an active place? Please leave your answer in the comments section or drop us an email.
If the majority of you would like a forum, then we would need several moderators to keep everything running smoothly, as we wouldn’t be able to oversee the forum by ourselves, although we would be popping in from time to time! If you are interested in being a moderator, be sure to mention that when leaving a comment. Previous experience is preferred.

More shots have been added from Amber’s beautiful Saturday Night Magazine photoshoot. I especially love this one. Thanks to everyone who alerted us of these! Futhermore, I’ve also added the article itself, which is a very nice read.
With so many hot, young Hollywood starlets vying for the spotlight, it isn’t easy setting yourself apart from the pack and demonstrating you’ve really got the chops to make it big, but Amber Heard is doing just that. If you haven’t heard (pardon the pun) of this rising star, chances are you will soon. At the ripe old age of 22, Heard is quickly joining the ranks of Hollywood’s sexy leading ladies and has no interest in slowing down. This summer, Heard will star in the much-anticipated Judd-Apatow comedy-thriller Pineapple Express and has a stockpile of juicy projects in the works. With the sex appeal and savvy of a young Angelina Jolie, we think Amber has what it takes to conquer the scene in a big way. This is one name you will soon be hearing often.

We’ve managed to obtain a special, vintage treat of Heard. A scan from the February 2006 magazine i-D. It’s one of my very favorite photoshoots and Amber was promoting North Country that year. She also spoke about You Are Here in which she says the part was wrote for her. This is the only time we’ve read anything from Amber about that movie and since the film has not gotten a release we’re itching to see this, check out the funny quote:
“I play an ex-TV actress from Texas, named Amber of course! She’s a diva, a wild crazy, manipulative drunk! Every personality trait I try to supress…”

Never Back Down is coming to Region 1 DVD on July 29, 2008. You can pre-order your copy on Amazon.com. The film will be released on two-disc version as well. One being theatrical version and then the two-disc special “Extended Beat Down”/Unrated edition. Hopefully will see more of Baja Miller in the latter. (With lots of features!) You can pre-order that one here as well.

As you can see we have a new look up for the site! It was designed by yours truly and features Amber fun and colorful Missbehave photoshoot. We actually had no plans to change the previous design this soon as we loved it so much, but inspiration struck me and we both felt this new look was perfect for the summer. It was design for Mozilla Firefox but I hope it will hold up in other browsers, If you encounter problems please let us know. Anyways, we hope you like the new lay! Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
