"All I can do is fight to confront the preconceived notions of what those labels mean or what roles I'm limited to. Just because I'm with a woman now doesn't mean I'm less or more capable of changing the world." - Amber Heard

Comic-Con’s Zombieland panel was held yesterday and the director as well as the main cast, including Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, was in attendance. As we know, Amber’s role is merely a cameo, and they actually showed a clip that features her. It is, however, very spoilery so if you don’t want to know what happens to Amber’s character, please do not proceed!

This fall’s top anticipated horror-comedy film, Zombieland, will hit theatres on October 9th, but attendees to the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con Conference will get an early taste of what’s to come. Once on the convention floor, watch out for groups of sexy scandalously clad zombies who come baring free gifts.
Additionally, Columbia Pictures has teamed up with Zombiewalk: San Diego to take over the streets of Downtown San Diego on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd. Comic-Con attendees will be invited to get “Zombified” for free with the help of a team of professional special effects makeup artists at the Sony Pictures Entertainment Booth (#4313) inside the San Diego Convention Center all day Thursday, July 23rd beginning at 10am.

Click here to check out the brand new Zombieland trailer in glorious HD! I could not spot Amber in the trailer but it was to be expected since her role is a cameo anyhow. Regardless, the preview looks awesome!
Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

This fall, zombies are returning to the multiplex in Columbia Pictures’ Zombieland. ShockTillYouDrop.com has been tipped off that we’ll get a first look at the film, which lensed earlier this year in Georgia, next week via a trailer. We’re not certain if it’ll be a teaser or a full-length preview, but it may be attached to the Jack Black comedy Year One. Also The Stepfather is rumored to be attached to that film as well.
The film, directed by Ruben Fleischer, stars Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone as survivors of a zombie apocalypse trekking through the southwest. Zombie cameos include Amber Heard and Bill Murray.

For those of you who haven’t already seen Mandy Lane via the UK release outlets, according to the new issue of Entertainment Weekly the film will be released in North American theaters on July 17th. Will it really happen this time? Don’t know but we’ll just wait and see. You can view a scan of the article in the gallery.
Also, Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer has declared shooting on his horror-comedy finished, and was nice enough to slap some set pics featuring famous L.A. landmarks overrun the by the film’s zombie apocalypse on his official site. None of these feature any of the cast but cool to check out anyways. Amber has a brief cameo in the movie.

He helped create the signature look of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, made Gwyneth Paltrow fat for Shallow Hal, and is currently turning Kanye West into a wrinkled old man for his upcoming “Stay Up! (Viagra)” music video. But at night, make-up and effects legend Tony Gardner is re-inventing the zombie.
“Basically, it’s the end of the world; the entire nation is zombies,” Gardner told us of Zombieland, which features Woody Harrelson and young rising stars Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Amber Heard and Mila Kunis, and is due in theaters in time for Halloween. “And [the humans] are trying to get from the east coast to the west coast.”

Wow…! This is so exciting! Amber has nabbed yet another leading role, opposite Johnny Depp in Rum Diary, the adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel being directed by Bruce Robinson. The report, courtesy of Reuters/Hollywood Reporter, reports that Heard has also nabbed a cameo in Zombieland, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. So this marks the announcement of no less than three new project for Amber within two days!
Amber Heard has nabbed the coveted female lead opposite Johnny Depp in Rum Diary, the adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel being directed by Bruce Robinson.
Heard is a relative newcomer who so far has been cast in supporting roles in more modest movies. Among her more notable roles are the title character of All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and Seth Rogen’s high-school-age girlfriend in Pineapple Express.
Diary, from GK Films, will place Heard at the front and centre of a love triangle in the tale of a washed-up, hard-drinking journalist named Paul Kemp (Depp) in 1950s Puerto Rico. Heard will play Chenault, the free-spirited girlfriend of a fellow journalist who cheats on him with Kemp, trying to convince him to run away with her.
