Be sure to check out new interviews of Amber discussing Drive Angry 3D at Comic Con over at MovieWeb and ShockTillYouDrop.com. The latter, especially, is worth a view as it is rather lengthy and sees Amber discuss Mandy Lane and her other upcoming projects as well. Screencaps of both interviews have been added in the gallery. |

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane THE STORY Amber Heard (Zombieland, The Informers) is fantastic as the object of every adolescent boy’s obsession. As Mandy Lane, she ventures out to a remote farm house for a weekend of partying with pals until a hoodie-cloaked miscreant with a backpack full of killing tools begins to pick the teen pack off one by one. WHAT HAPPENED? The directorial debut of Jonathan Levine, Mandy Lane hit the film festival circuit, garnering a number of rave reviews (including one here at Shock). Dimension Films swooped in, acquiring the film. After a long spell, Bob and Harvey Weinstein prepped a limited release in July of 2007 with the haste of two kids fumbling took take off their clothes in the back seat of their car on prom night. Poster art and a trailer were created. The press was invited to advance screenings. Then, at the last minute, Mandy Lane was yanked from the schedule. Talk about giving fans a case of blue balls. |

Bloody-Disgusting.com, my favorite horror site, interviewed Amber and you can now check that out in the press archive.

Senator Distribution has decided to pull Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane from its July 17th release date. The company offered no specifics as to why. The Amber Heard-starring thriller is now back on the “release date: to be determined” block. This is purely speculation, but we suspect the reason for the drop out may be due to tough economic times. The company, it’s been rumored, was closing up its New York office. Mandy Lane isn’t the only film on Senator’s slate to go “TBD.” Source: ShockTillYouDrop.com |

Also, Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer has declared shooting on his horror-comedy finished, and was nice enough to slap some set pics featuring famous L.A. landmarks overrun the by the film’s zombie apocalypse on his official site. None of these feature any of the cast but cool to check out anyways. Amber has a brief cameo in the movie. |

I’ve got half the notion to just give up posting anymore Mandy Lane talk given that the film is already on DVD on the UK and I’m sure if you are desperate enough you can manage to see it that way… but, given the movie truly is deserving of a theatrical run stateside and I know so many of you still haven’t seen it, here we go again…
FYI the movie was supposed to get a July run once before, … back in 2007! Source: Bloody-Disgusting.com |

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has acquired domestic home entertainment and television distribution rights to Senator’s release slate. There are various titles included in the multi-picture deal including the long-delayed slasher film All The Boys Love Mandy Lane starring Amber Heard. Mandy Lane was released this year on DVD in the UK, and we both got a chance to see it and the movie is beyond amazing so it’s so saddening to see this movie be bounced around. The company truly didn’t know how to market it. I do hope it will get a theatre & dvd run in the US soon so the rest of you out there can still see it! |
