Cinema Blend has posted a wonderful new interview with Amber. Apparently our girl is shooting The Stepfather during the nights and promoting Never Back Down during the days! Talk about a hard worker! Check out the full article here and a couple of interesting quotes below.

“I think there’s a part when you sign your soul to the devil and start working in Los Angeles that you also sign away that you could be a human being in anyone’s eye. You’re like a robot!”

“It’s funny because I do get a bunch of these roles and as a young woman In Hollywood you tend to get these girlfriend easier than one could imagine. I get them every day and I won’t take a bad film, one that doesn’t make me feel good when I fall asleep at night. But that being said, you do look at a character and sometimes it could never be anything more than 2 dimensional but in this case I play Baja Miller. I play a young girl in high school. There was a certain amount of truth Chris Hauty put into the subtext and back-story that made it easy to build a 3-d character out of the script.”

“Brad Renfro was an amazing person and a very talented artist. One has a lot of respect for those qualities that are kind of rare. The things that tormented him and caused his passing exist everywhere in reality. You go down to the street here in Beverly Hills and there’s somebody affected in the same way, by substance or escapism. It was sad though because he was an artist and he put himself in the public eye and he’s going to be scrutinized. People are going to look at him and say that the industry did this or the drugs or whatever and young people are this way. It’s not just young people. It’s not old people, it’s not only actors. It’s everybody. Everybody knows somebody with a problem.”

Amber did indeed attend the premiere of Never Back Down last night, she looked a-m-a-z-i-n-g in this gorgeous electric pink dress with her hair in a pretty up do!

We’re currently in the process of moving our gallery and video archives to a new and much faster server so we’re unable to post pictures at the moment. The move should not be much longer, but here is a preview none the less! Check back later this week because there will be tons more pictures of this event (as well as some other updates!)

Yay! New stills and images from Never Back Down have been released. Among them, some new stills and a promo shoot picture in which Amber looks just - wow. And the official site is now launched too. Most of the materials are still coming soon, but they will probably pop up soon as the movie is being released in March.

I came across the new Never Back Down poster and some beautiful stills of Amber Heard as Baja Miller. I really like her look in the film. I have a feeling March 2008 will be a good one for Miss Heard. ;)

As promised, I’ve made screencaptures of the Never Back Down trailer and added the first official production still. The film itself does not terribly interest me but it is good to see something new from Amber. She looks absolutely gorgeous and I hope her role will be more than just a “love interest”.

Get Some, which now goes by the name of Never Back Down, has release dates for set for 2008: March 14 (US) and April 25 (UK). A trailer has also been released. Be sure to check it out at IGN! I will be added pics and trailer captures of Amber’s role tomorrow.

We now know that Amber will play Christie in The Informers. The movie is still being filmed as we speak. Below the cut you can find some information regarding her character in the book, courtesy of Wikipedia. Please just keep in mind that it may contain some spoilers regarding the film.

Chapter 9 - Another Gray Area

This chapter is narrated by Graham who is a recurring character throughout the novel. It begins with Graham, his girlfriend Christie, Randy and Martin getting stoned in his home. Graham is convinced that Christie and Martin are sleeping together but has no proof and does not seem to care that much.

Film-production business, that is. State incentives draw crews here, and a new project offers Djimon Hounsou for star power.

It looks like the conditioning class from, well, Hades.

A dozen young people, perspiring and sprinting, are trying to keep up with Oscar-nominee Djimon Hounsou as he lopes down the Sanford waterfront, the boats and palm trees of Monroe Harbour Marina forming a lovely backdrop for a punishing movie moment.

The movie is Get Some, about high schoolers who brawl in an explosively popular new sport, “mixed martial arts.” Sanford’s waterfront will be this Rocky story’s museum steps, the inspiring training sequence in which the hero (Sean Faris of TV’s Reunion) whips himself into shape.
