Amber Heard Supports

Let California Ring builds support across California for the freedom for same-sex couples to marry through a broad public education campaign that reaches out to residents. Their goal is to help all the state's residents understand why the freedom to marry matters for same-sex couples who are their neighbors, family members, friends and fellow Californians.

Amber is continuing help with her support for marriage equality as the other day she attended a Prop. 8 Rally at the Corner of Santa Monica Blvd and San Vicente Blvd in West California. Amber Heard and Tasya van Ree join other human-rights activists to protest the stay on gay marriages in the state of California. “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied

Pictures have been added to the gallery, with credit due to Amber’s Official Facebook and to Miss Tasya van Ree.

Earlier yesterday, Amber Heard helped Yo Gabba Gabba! (children’s program) build a home for Habitat for Humanity on in Lynwood, California. Amber has been busy here lately and it’s wonderful seeing her be active in various organizations so much. Check out a handful of images in the gallery!

Nearly 2 billion people around the world live in slum housing and over 100 million are homeless. Habitat for Humanity is needed to help eliminate poverty by providing simple, decent shelter to those in need. Homeowners and volunteers build under trained supervision.

Target Corporation issued an apology yesterday over its $150,000 contribution to MN Forward, which is running ads for Tom Emmer, a Republican candidate who opposes same-sex marriage. According to AfterEllen, who interviewed Tasya van Ree (who was also co-hosting the protest with Amber), the protest has since been called off.

Also you are probably well aware that Proposition 8 has been deemed unconstitutional and in violation of the protection clause of the 14th Amendment. We are sure Amber is very happy – as are we! – about the overturning since she’s been an active supporter of equality for Californians.

Amber Heard is organizing an impromptu gathering to promote the Target/Best Buy boycott in response to their support of anti-LGBT political candidates.

Target has publicly given over $250,000 in campaign donations to very anti-LGBT candidates, like Tom Emmer. They refuse to publicly retract that donation, match it to pro-LGBT candidates, or otherwise justify their actions. Given the location of the Target/Best Buy in West Hollywood, we have a unique “home field advantage” to gather support and inform a very pro-LGBT community of these circumstances.

Show your support for equality with Amber this Saturday, August 7th, from 1pm-4pm. The event will be held on the sidewalk outside of Best Buy in West Hollywood, CA. (Corner of Santa Monica & La Brea). You are asked to bring whatever materials (signs, pamphlets, etc) you can. Spread the word!

If any fan/supporter will be attending the event, please leave a comment below!

Amber Heard has hosted a charity pool party in Los Angeles, benefiting a very important cause: American Cancer Charity. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any decent quality photos of her at the event yet but we’ll be sure to post them if we do manage to find some. Meanwhile, check out this article, in which Amber discusses the charity.

Amber Heard has played host to a glamorous charity pool party in LA.

The Pineapple Express actress was joined by some famous friends, including Brothers and Sisters star Gilles Marini and Twilight: New Moon’s Edi Gathegi, who were there to help raise money for the American Cancer Charity, as well as celebrating the 10th birthday of the W hotel in Westwood.

“It is very close to my heart. Breast cancer affects my family and so to be involved with any sort of organisation that helps affected people is an honour, especially an organisation dedicated to this cause,” Amber explained.

She added: “[The American Cancer Charity] is an organisation that I’m super-proud to be involved with.”

Back on Saturday, Amber attended the Harvey Milk Day Celebration At The Osbourne Estate in L.A. Heard looked pretty and professional in a black skirt & jacket, paired with a creamed tank and gold accessories. She opted for some red pumps with the ensemble. Thanks to everyone who helped alert us of the event, we are just now able to post since we’ve both been out of town.

This event, hosted by Equality California was in support of the Let California Ring foundation which builds support across California for the freedom for same-sex couples to marry through a broad public education campaign that reaches out to residents. Their goal is to help all the state’s residents understand why the freedom to marry matters for same-sex couples who are their neighbors, family members, friends and fellow Californians. You can learn more about this charity here or at their official website – www.letcaliforniaring.org.

I think it’s really incredible that Amber is taking part in this cause and I really support her even more for doing this! Many ♥’s to Amber!
