Amber is getting more attention these days! Yesterday She made the IGN “Movie Babe of the Day”.
Born in Austin, Texas, Babe of the Day and actress Amber Heard has already made a mark on both the silver and small screens, and it doesn’t look like this young starlet is going to stop anytime soon.
Heard got her big break in the 2004 film, Friday Night Lights, and her performance helped her win the honor to play a younger version of Charlize Theron in North Country, the critically-acclaimed drama about the first successful major sexual harassment case in US history. In 2006, Heard appeared in another major film, this time the controversial crime drama Alpha Dog, starring Bruce Willis and Emile Hirsch.
On the small screen, Heard has played bit parts on such shows as The O.C., Criminal Minds and Californication. Heard’s latest work comes in Never Back Down, about an underground fight club populated by teens. The film opens nationwide today.

North Country.
Upcoming Projects:
Heard recently wrapped work on Pineapple Express, the crime comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.

Both Bloody-Disgusting.com and MovieHole have gotten the scoop that Miss Heard will star in the remake of The Stepfather! (Both sources are very reliable.) This is truly exciting!
Amber will join the previously announced Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Adrianne Palicki, Chris Meloni and Sherry Stringfield in the film that is shooting now and will wrap production April 15 in Los Angeles, California. The story centers on a teenage boy (Badgley) who discovers his soon-to-be stepfather isn’t all he appears. In fact, the man who fell in love with his mother (Sela Ward), might be a psycho who murdered his previous family.
In the original 1987 horror favorite, Terry O’Quinn (of Lost fame) played the infamous Stepfather. The movie spawned two sequels.

OhMyGore.com has published a lengthy new Mandy Lane interview with Amber Heard. Click here to view it but please notice that it contains some big spoilers regarding the movie. You have been warned.
When I got the script it was like falling in love. It was one of those moments when you read something and you instantly know it’s really special. It was so different. As a young actress just starting out in Los Angeles, you read so many scripts that want to pigeonhole you. They put you into a category as the pretty, young girl and nothing more. You’re always the girlfriend, there to support the rest of the characters. I read so much of that stuff when I moved here and Mandy Lane was just the opposite. The writing is so beautiful, so brilliant. I read the script and I knew there was something different about this character.
