Let California Ring builds support across California for the freedom for same-sex couples to marry through a broad public education campaign that reaches out to residents. Their goal is to help all the state's residents understand why the freedom to marry matters for same-sex couples who are their neighbors, family members, friends and fellow Californians.

What a lovely surprise! Amber Heard is on the cover of Ocean Drive magazine’s September 2010 issue. Scans, thanks to ‘picoloro’ and photoshoot have been added to the gallery – it is fabulously stunning as always! The article is quite short but have a read in our library. Lastly, you can also watch a behind the scenes video of Amber on the set of the shoot after the break.

“There’s a huge group of people in Hollywood whose job it is to go out and act wild. My job has nothing to do with that. It’s weird, the voyeuristic approach to celebrity these days. People like to live vicariously, I guess. I’m saddened, though, when I see young women making a career out of embarrassing themselves in public. I draw that line at what you can probably find about me on the Internet” – Amber Heard

Amber is featured in the April/May 2010 issue of British Wonderland magazine with Carey Mulligan on the front cover. She’s featured in a Hollywood’s ‘New Faces’ portfolio with Dave Franco, Riley Keough, Michael Angarano, Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Alicja Bachleda, Johnny Simmons and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

We now have a scan of Amber’s page, which was scanned by ‘franchini’ (and pointed to us by Michele!). Thanks to both! I’ve also added the Wonderland photo in high quality in the photoshoots section.

Amber Heard has made Maxim’s list of Hot 100 this year and rates at #13 after being #56 last year. She also scooped the #25 spot on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2010. She was #31 in 2009. Last but not least, 2010 Victoria Secret’s What is Sexy? list crowns Miss Heard as the Sexiest Up-&-Coming Bombshell.

Thanks to Tatiana for letting us know that Amber Heard is Maxim’s Girl of the Day. Here’s what they had to say about Amber:

Birthday: April 22, 1986
Hometown: Austin, TX

Where You’ve Seen Her: After numerous small credits in unsuccessful TV series and films, Amber finally achieved some notoriety for being the bong bong of everyone’s affection in Pineapple Express and an ass-kicking hottie in the MMA-themed Never Back Down. Amber was then nominated for an MTV Movie Award in the category of “Best Scared-As-S**t Performance” in The Stepfather and we’re throwing our support behind her this year in the category of “Hot as Hell” for her role in The Joneses. It’ll be hard to keep up with that!

Blue-Collar Celebrity: “I’m young and I’m single, and I definitely enjoy my private life. I’m not insecure, and I don’t need to be validated by paparazzi. I want my career to speak for me.”

Amber is featured on the cover of yet another magazine! This time she is on 944 Magazine this month. Although the images are not new for us, it’s great to see them in a higher quality. The article however, is new and a good little read. In it Amber discusses the chaotic and exciting times she’s had while on the road for work (like being held at knifepoint in a cab in Santiago, Chile!) and the little treasures of coming back home (who would have thought doing laundry would be missed?) and things like what she values in her house (fresh flowers are a must for her, “I never have an empty vase in my house. Roses are my favorite.”)

“I love to cook. When I’m away I miss my pots and pans and my spices. I take a lot of pride in the spices that I pick out … crazy, random, specific spices from all over the world that I buy in Little Tokyo and markets in LA.”

“There’s a line between being an artist and [being a celebrity]. Whether you’re a famous photographer or artist, or you’re an actor or director, it’s no longer about your job it’s about being a celebrity … and somehow that’s your job … and I hate that idea.”

We’d like to pay a big thanks to Michele of LukeGrimes.net for sending us magazine scans.

Amber Heard is featured in the British Mail on Sunday Live supplement with an interesting new interview, which you can read here. Below is a select few quotes from the interview:

“I want to produce my own films – it’s important for women to make the creative decisions. So I produced my next film, And Soon The Darkness; I did a lot of writing and the budgets – the whole gig. I thoroughly enjoyed it and want to do more.”

“I don’t believe in God any more than I believe in the Easter bunny. I grew up in a very strict Catholic environment. I didn’t have an epiphany; it was a gradual process that took a lot of fighting and questioning and reading and research. My parents were upset; they didn’t like that I asked questions – but that only propelled me to ask more. I explained that I don’t need an external, omnipotent being with an eternal concept of punishment out there to tell me right from wrong.”
