Photographer Tasya van Ree has shared some new images on her official site and Facebook that feature some stunning new shots of Amber Heard. Amber is a frequent subject of Tasya’s, who she references as her “muse.” She told AfterEllen.com that Amber is to her as “Gala is to Salvador Dali, Kiki de Montparnasse is to Man Ray, Beatrice is to Dante Alighieri.” Quite the compliment if you ask me – and who could blame her! Van Ree’s new exhibit, “Untitled Project,” debuts at L.A.’s Celebrity Vault on August 11. It’s likely Amber will be attending so hopefully we will have some new event pictures of her next week. Tasya says it’s a collection of portraits that she’s taken over the last year. She describes them as “a showcase of randomness, staged performances, intimate moments, candid gestures, pondering expressions, seductive revelations, playful demeanors, and so forth.” To view some of those stunning images check out her Facebook or official site by clicking the image below. ![]() |

Target Corporation issued an apology yesterday over its $150,000 contribution to MN Forward, which is running ads for Tom Emmer, a Republican candidate who opposes same-sex marriage. According to AfterEllen, who interviewed Tasya van Ree (who was also co-hosting the protest with Amber), the protest has since been called off. Also you are probably well aware that Proposition 8 has been deemed unconstitutional and in violation of the protection clause of the 14th Amendment. We are sure Amber is very happy – as are we! – about the overturning since she’s been an active supporter of equality for Californians. |

Amber Heard is organizing an impromptu gathering to promote the Target/Best Buy boycott in response to their support of anti-LGBT political candidates.
Show your support for equality with Amber this Saturday, August 7th, from 1pm-4pm. The event will be held on the sidewalk outside of Best Buy in West Hollywood, CA. (Corner of Santa Monica & La Brea). You are asked to bring whatever materials (signs, pamphlets, etc) you can. Spread the word! If any fan/supporter will be attending the event, please leave a comment below! |

Here are some bits and pieces related to Amber from the Comic-Con Drive Angry 3D panel, held yesterday. Click on the links to read the full reports. Apparently it was one of the shortest panels, less than 15 minutes with visuals and the footage included. According to the reports, Amber is featured in the footage so here’s to hoping it’ll surface online soon! I also uploaded the first photos of Amber in the gallery, which include photos from the photocall and a couple of candids of her out and about in San Diego. From IGN:
