According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Amber Heard taking on the role of diner employee who partners with Nicolas Cage to find his granddaughter in the 3D action pic Drive Angry.
Drive Angry, a Nu Image/Millennium project that is eyeing a shoot this month in Shreveport, La., centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.
Thanks to Kyle for informing us that Amber Heard will be on the cover of Fashion Magazine’s April 2010 issue. Here’s a behind the scenes video from the gorgeous shoot. The magazine will be on newsstands on March 8, 2010.
Billy Burke has joined the cast of director Patrick Lussier’s Drive Angry, Moviehole can reveal.
The picture, written by Todd Farmer, fixes on a rage-filled father (Nicolas Cage) hell-bent on revenge against those that killed his daughter, and kidnapped his granddaughter. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway
Note: This article suggests that The Rum Diary will be released next month but that is not the case. According to this site, the film will be released September 24.
In next month’s Hunter S. Thompson biopic, The Rum Diary, Amber Heard plays Johnny Depp’s love interest, continuing her streak of roles that require very little clothing. But the actress, best known for playing the girlfriend of Seth Rogen’s character in Pineapple Express, isn’t afraid of getting typecast as “the naked girl.”
“Some of my films have required more nudity than others,” she explained yesterday at Fashion Week’s Diesel Black Gold presentation. “But I’m not in a conservative industry and I don’t want to cater to the conservative thought that if I do a nude scene then I’ll be forever damned into a certain category.”
The Diesel Black Gold fall 2010 runway show will stream live as the show happens on Tuesday, February 16th, at 5pm.
Join the world’s top fashion editors, insiders and VIP’s – such as, among others, models Amber Le Bon and Daisy Lowe, actress Amber Heard, photographer Terry Richardson, singer VV Brown – as they witness the debut of the Diesel Black Gold women’s and men’s collections.
Photos have been added of Amber hosting yesterday’s Tasya van Ree Charity Photo Exhibition, held in Beverly Hills. Proceeds from the event will go to AbolishSlavery.org, which is targeting human trafficking in Haiti.
The event was attended by many of Amber’s friends and co-stars. She posed for the cameras with sister Whitney Heard, photographer Tasya van Ree, Billy Zane, Michelle Rodriguez, The Ward co-star Lyndsy Fonseca, And Soon the Darkness co-star Odette Yustman and Drop Dead Sexy co-star Crispin Glover, among others.
Please visit photographer Tasya van Ree’s website at www.tasyavanree.com to view some truly breathtaking shots, including several of Amber Heard. The photos won’t be posted on Amber-Heard.net at the moment out of courtesy to Tasya who is working on a book, but you will be able to admire them on her site.
