This Friday, Amber Heard stars in cult director John Carpenter’s mental asylum-haunted house thriller The Ward – but her experiences there are nothing compared to the terror of squeezing into a bunny suit for her upcoming series The Playboy Club (debuting this fall on NBC).

“It’s very uncomfortable – I do not recommend it,” Heard tells PopcornBiz of her stint in the iconic 60s-era cotton-tailed outfit worn by waitress during the glory years of Hugh Hefner’s membership-only nightclubs. “I’m doing ‘Playboy Club’ because I love the pain of the corsets. No, I’m kidding: Because I’m having a good time, it’s the right project for me and a very interesting character. That’s why I work on any project.”

NBC has set its 2011-12 premiere dates and the Amber Heard starrer, The Playboy Club, is set to debut on September 19 at 10-11PM.

Amber Heard was photographed on the set of her latest movie, Syrup, on Saturday (June 18) in New York City. Pictures have been added to the gallery. Amber looks gorgeous!

The actress shot scene leaving a cab and outside a building on Park Avenue. Amber filmed scenes with Shiloh Fernandez during the day.

Syrup tells the story of “two twenty-somethings trying to make it to the top of the soda industry’s corporate ladder.” The film is directed by Aram Rappaport and is due out in 2012.

Also held earlier this month was the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic VIP Marquee event. Amber was in attendance and dawned a white ensemble, which she dressed down with sandals.
