Holy smokes! It seems that Amber Heard is featured in the new issue of Spanish language magazine Vanidades with a brand new, drop-dead gorgeous photoshoot! I don’t think I have enough adjectives to describe how amazing Amber looks in the photos so you’ll just have to take a look and see for yourself. Personally, I think it is one of her most stunning photoshoots to date. Wow.

Zombieland is getting released on February 2nd on DVD and Blu-Ray and MovieWeb.com was provided with a couple quick looks at some of the features which will be available. One including a look at Amber Heard’s zombie make-up process! Watch the clip after the jump. I will be getting the DVD next Tuesday and will be capping all the features in HQ then so check back next week for that update!

EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund hosted “An Unforgettable Evening” on Wednesday to draw focus on early detection and research. Amber Heard, looking fresh faced and gorgeous in black, was in attendance to support the cause. The first photos from the event are now up in the gallery. Enjoy!

On our report for 2008 we stated that it was the year of Amber Heard so far. It is fair to say that Amber’s popularity only grew in 2009 with the releases of The Informers, Zombieland and The Stepfather and festival releases of The Joneses and ExTerminators. Amber also filmed starring roles in three movies this year: And Soon the Darkness (which she also produced), The Rum Diary and The Ward, all of which will be available in 2010. Needless to say, it will be another massive year for the star!

Best news:
Both agree: That Amber Heard will star in The Rum Diary. I am very excited for all of her upcoming projects but especially this one as it is based on the Hunter S. Thompson novel and the cast is all around amazing. We were also really happy to hear that Amber is venturing into producing with And Soon the Darkness.

Worst news:
Both agree: We hate to say it but our answer is the same as in the last two years – the All the Boys Love Mandy Lane US release mess, which STILL has not been resolved!

Wonderwall had a chance to talk to Amber at the Art of Elysium Gala. Here’s what she had to say:

With five new projects in the hopper, Amber Heard is grateful that her rising celebrity hasn’t meant every personal detail of her life gets revealed.

“I think it has been relatively easy to keep a private life and keep that life separate from my career,” she said. “I think that some people seek to be celebrities and those people will live the life that everybody reads about and knows about. I myself desire the life of a serious actor and a life like any normal person.”

Whenever we see the words: Amber Heard and FHM together, we snicker! They really love our Heard don’t they? In addition to the Australian January 2010 cover comes the German editorial for this month as well. It’s still Amber’s previous shoot from last year but this marks the 2nd, 3rd, 4th…. oh heck who’s counting anymore appearance in the magazines.
