The gallery has been updated with candids of Amber Heard leaving Joans on Third restaurant in Los Angeles, California with her adorable dogs. These were snapped on November 3, 2009.

A pre-production video diary has gone live over at the official John Carpenter website for his latest flick The Ward. While you don’t get a glimpse of any footage, it’s still a cool behind the scenes look from the shooting locations in Spokane, WA before the cameras started rolling. Amber has a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearances in the featurette.

Roadside Attractions has picked up U.S. theatrical rights to social satire The Joneses, toplining Demi Moore and David Duchovny.

Pic, the feature debut of helmer Derrick Borte, bowed at Toronto in September and was considered to be one of the more commercial titles available at the festival.

An ancillary rights deal is still in the works.

Borte also scripted the film about a seemingly perfect family that turns out to be a shill for brands. Film co-stars Amber Heard.

Last month a rumor began circulating that Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester would hookup with former Remember the Daze costar Amber Heard (who also starred with Leighton’s GG costar, Penn Badgley in The Stepfather. She’s making the rounds on the Upper East Side!) in a Thelma and Louise-like flick called Cowboy Bandits.

There was very little additional info given about the project other than it would be a younger version of the classic chick flick starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon (in it, they play women on the run from the law after shooting a rapist). Word was that Jess Manafort was rumored to be on board as the director. She also worked the girls in Remember the Daze. So, when we got Leighton on the set of her music video for “Somebody to Love,” we thought we’d see if we could get any more info out of her about it. Instead of info, however, we got a (maybe) confirmation!
