And Soon the Darkness, which is currently in post-production, is being promoted at the Cannes Film Festival. The festival is about to kick off and we’ve just received our first look at the film’s poster. I personally think it looks pretty cool and atmospheric. I think that this will turn out to be a good one. Hopefully we’ll hear something new about the film during Cannes because news have been rather scarce to date.

Amber Heard has also made Maxim‘s list of Hot 100 this year and rated at #56. She was actually #21 last year (click to view scan). Not that it really matters but I do find it a little strange that she has descended on Maxim‘s list after such a busy year (including a Maxim cover) – as we know, she rated much higher on FHM. The full list will be revealed when the issue hits newsstands on Wednesday, May 13. Meanwhile, this is what they had to say about Amber:
The Pineapple Express hottie has six(!) films coming out this year. But don’t think the blonde beauty has a problem with her workload. “I’ve been working so hard to get to this point,” she told us, “I’ll be damned if I’m going to complain!”

Our dear friend Angie of Amy-Acker.org scanned us the June 2009 issue of FHM magazine, which features Amber Heard on spot #31 on their 100 sexiest list. The picture is from Amber’s 2008 FHM photoshoot. Wanna see a scan of Amber from the 2008 sexiest list? Click here for it.
A week or so back I also uploaded the first picture of Amber as Chenault on the set of The Rum Diary. She is, of course, blonde again, like her character is described in the book. Hopefully we’ll get to see more pictures of Amber as Chenault sometime soon!

Senator Distribution has decided to pull Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane from its July 17th release date. The company offered no specifics as to why. The Amber Heard-starring thriller is now back on the “release date: to be determined” block. This is purely speculation, but we suspect the reason for the drop out may be due to tough economic times. The company, it’s been rumored, was closing up its New York office. Mandy Lane isn’t the only film on Senator’s slate to go “TBD.”
