"I'm open to whoever. I think it is absurd to assume that I have to look in a certain category. A person should make choices - about who they want to marry, who they want to spend time with, who they want to fuck - based on a variety of options, and I hope that one day people will be more open-minded about that. It's silly to look in one category or another. I would never imagine a mate based on a certain sex or race."

'The Informers' Public Events

As earlier reported, The Informers will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. No word whether or not Amber Heard will be in attendance.

Here are the screening times:

Thu. Jan 22 9:30 p.m. – INFOR22CN Eccles Theatre, Park City
Fri. Jan 23 8:30 a.m. – INFOR23LM Library Center Theatre, Park City
Sat. Jan 24 11:59 p.m. – INFOR24WL Tower Theatre, SLC

Official synopsis follows:

Sex, drugs, and new wave…Los Angeles in the early 1980s: a time of excess and decadence, and nobody captures it better than Bret Easton Ellis as he coadapts his own acclaimed novel for the screen. Its multistrand narrative deftly balances a vast array of characters, who represent both the top of the heap (a Hollywood dream merchant, a dissolute rock star, an aging newscaster) and the bottom (a voyeuristic doorman and an amoral ex-con).

“It’s a challenge to focus on your lines in 50-degree water, but there’s something to be said for the extra adrenaline.” – Amber Heard

What a great way to kick off the new year – Miss Heard is featured inside the February 2009 issue of Outside magazine. The piece focuses on The River Why, which is currently in post-production, and offers our first look at the movie. Tona kindly scanned the magazine for us. Enjoy this rare treat!

This was the year of Amber Heard – so far, at least! We got so many amazing magazine editorials, video interviews, several film releases and more from our favorite lady! It was truly amazing to watch Amber turn into a star this year as she’s always been one in our eyes.

Best news:
Both agree: Magazines, magazines, magazines!!! Amber was all over the place and we got so many gorgeous photoshoots! And, of course, the releases of several of her movies and the announcements of Ex-terminators, The River Why and The Joneses, all very exciting projects. But by far the best thing that happened to us on a more personal note was receiving a thank you letter from Miss Heard herself. We truly will never forget it and her gratitude only makes us be even bigger fans.

Worst news:
Both agree: The Mandy Lane release hassle unfortunately continued for the majority of the population. Although it did finally get a small stint and was ultimately released on DVD in the UK (and how we were able to see it), after seeing the film and seeing just how amazing it is – the fact that it still doesn’t have a distributer is very saddening.

Favorite magazine cover:

Amber was on the cover of four magazine’s this year! Missbehave was a favorite because of it’s ultra glitz and glamour and disco throwback! Perhaps that it was her first real magazine cover also made it more special! Riikka’s favorite is Maxim magazine because it was Amber’s first major publicized cover and phoar – she looked smokin’ hot!
