Both Bloody-Disgusting.com and MovieHole have gotten the scoop that Miss Heard will star in the remake of The Stepfather! (Both sources are very reliable.) This is truly exciting!

Amber will join the previously announced Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Adrianne Palicki, Chris Meloni and Sherry Stringfield in the film that is shooting now and will wrap production April 15 in Los Angeles, California. The story centers on a teenage boy (Badgley) who discovers his soon-to-be stepfather isnâ€™t all he appears. In fact, the man who fell in love with his mother (Sela Ward), might be a psycho who murdered his previous family.

In the original 1987 horror favorite, Terry O’Quinn (of Lost fame) played the infamous Stepfather. The movie spawned two sequels.
